Can You Swim With Hair Extensions?

If you are here because you want to swim with your hair extensions, then this post was made just for you!

Swimming with your beautiful hair extensions is very easy to do with Mrs Rutter's Hair Extensions!

To keep your extensions tangle-free when swimming, we listed below just a few steps you would need to do to keep your hair in great health!

We suggest that these steps be done on clean dry hair.

Step #1 Detangle in manageable sections with a seamless wide tooth comb.

This type of comb prevents the hair from snagging on the seams and the wide teeth provides gentle detangling.

Step #2 Create Twisted or Braided Pigtails

Pigtails keeps the hair neat and together because free hair can become a little tangled when swimming.

Also, tie the ends of your hair with ouch-less rubber bands to prevent the hair from getting snagged on metal or plastic clasps that hair ties usually have.

Step #3 Wash & Moisturize Your Hair After Swimming

After swimming, shampooing your hair with a sulfate-free shampoo gently removes chlorine buildup from your hair.

Afterwords, apply a light application of argan oil or coconut oil to keep your hair moisturized.
